How a private-label partnership works
Three steps from your idea to a product that carries your name. Nothing goes into production until you hold an approved sample.
Send your spec
Share a drawing, a reference sample, or a written brief. We confirm feasibility, steel grade, MOQ, and lead time, then quote for your run. There are no catalog prices.
Approve a sample
We produce a first-off to your spec and finish. You check the dimensions, the action, the branding, and the packaging in hand before a single production unit is cut.
Run & private-label
On sign-off we machine and hand-finish the batch, inspect it against your approved sample, and pack it under your label, ready to ship as your product.
What carries your brand
A private-label order is more than a logo. Here is everything you can specify, from the mark on the steel to the box it ships in.

- Laser or engraved logos, etched SKU and part marks, custom handle colours and inserts where the tool allows.
- Finish
- Mirror-polish, satin, matte, or coated finishes, chosen per instrument.
- Packaging
- Printed retail boxes, blister packs, pouches, and sleeves produced to your artwork and dielines.
- Kitting & sets
- Manicure, pedicure, and tool sets assembled and boxed as a finished retail unit.
- Build-to-spec
- Non-catalog instruments built from your drawing or sample, with tooling kept for clean repeat orders.

Personal Care & Grooming
Consumer goods, not medical devices. No device certification needed.

These ranges are typical for the industry. We are confirming current capacity and quote exact figures per project.
Grooming tools are not medical devices
Razors, nail and cuticle tools, tweezers, and manicure sets fall outside MDR, CE marking, and FDA device rules, so a private-label grooming line needs no device certification from us or from you. General consumer-product rules in your market (for example GPSR and REACH in the EU) still apply and sit with the brand owner.

Certification, and who holds it
Our medical and surgical work is contract and component manufacturing. For that work you are the manufacturer of record and hold the certification. We build to your validated spec.
Smartway does not hold ISO 13485 or CE certification, and no certification process is underway. Earning our own is a long-term goal.
